GASP A post?!?!

Ok so the winter depresses me and I neglected my LJ. Well spring is back and now so am I! :)
Anyways. So after 7 months of cashiering at the wonderful world of Walmart I've been promoted to "Customer Service Manager" aka CSM. So far I really like it.

I've also got a new place. It's beautiful! My darling boyfriend Johnny finally got us out of his batcave attic. THANK GOD!

I did a pageant in March. The Miss Cumberland Valley Pageant. I didn't place but all the girls were REALLY good. I wasn't dissapointed and I had a fabulous time! All the girls were like -die hard pageant girls- like thats all they do. Glad they have their parents to finance everything. Me on the other hand, well I'll continue to work at walmart. I'll be in Miss Berk's County in November.Here is a picture of me in my evening gown with Miss Pennsylvania interviewing me.

I'm waiting for a cafe gig to do my own Cabaret. I'm excited about that. More details in the future.

I went to NYC.
I went to the Palace theatre.
I saw Linda Eder.
I heard linda Eder.
I met Linda Eder.

That was my trip. Eeeeeeee!
Words can not describe Linda's voice. Her Holiday Concert was amazing and so emotional. She did so many good christmas songs plus some other broadway songs and some new never been recorded songs. It was beautiful, I cried. I laughed too, she had her funny moments. She told this story: This 5 year old went to sit on Santas lap and he asked her what she wanted for christmas and she replied "Jesus Christ! Didnt you get my Goddamned letter?!?!"

LOL isnt that hilarious? Edelweiss made me cry and so did If I Could and If I had my Way. Very emotional concert.

THEN I got to meet her! We waited for an hour outside the stage door. I got her autograph and a picture. She's even more amazing in person. She is more fabulous than on cd. If you ever get a chance to, you should go see Linda Eder in a concert sometime, she's incredible!

Ok so ALOT of people call me Belle or Ariel. They say I have the perfect Disney voice and say I should go audition for disney. Well Disney Cruiseline has auditions in NYC about everyother month. The chance is beckoning me.

So here is my poll, please comment with your replies!

Should I go audition for Disney Cruiseline and leave for 7 months to be an entertainer on an all expenxe paid cruise? Yes or No.

Ok Ok... yes I know I havent updated in SO long... but better late than never right?
All is going well in Pennsylvania. I got the job at Wal-Mart and it is the friendliest place to work! And I got to dress up every day this past week for Halloween! Check out the pics! The "Black Widow" and the "Spider Princess".
I also dressed up as "Miss Walmart" complete with evening gown, tiara and sash! The guys in the photo lab took pictures and put text on it that reads "Miss Wal-Mart 2004" and posted them around. :) boys. It was an interesting day. Two guys tried to ask me out... too bad they were lamers! lol. My voice is still going strong. No voice teachers here unfortunately. I've been looking into an old Theatre here that they are remodeling, maybe I can get people motivated to start up a community theatre. I am going to compete in the Miss Cumberland Valley Pageant in March. Until then, I'm singing my heart out and trying to keep up in my music theory as I have no piano and miss it very badly. (Who knew after all the practicing I hated.. that now I'd miss it!)

I also got to see the revival of Fiddler on the Roof on broadway last month. It was splendorific!
I actually went to see Dracula on bway... but unfortunately they changed the show times.

Anyhoo. I gotta toodle along. I promise I'll update more often :)

Babbling Brooks

Today was a fabulous day!
First it started off with my WalMart interview, which went well and I have to go back monday for another interview! Yay.

Then my dearest Johnny took me out into the PA mountains! We even took Blacky. After hiking a while we finally got to these beautiful woods that had this clear spring babbling brook running all the way through it. It was so beautiful and we walked the length of it for a long while, it just kept going and going.

Then Blacky being the fun water dog she is hopped in! I got a lovely picture of her and just look at that water! It's so clear it doesn't even look like it's there!

She had fun and frolicked all through the woods. Then we took a lil rest, oh it was SO wonderful and sweet!

Then we got back to the truck and drove to this Dairy place out in the middle of no where, with all the windows down. We had teaberry shakes that were delishious! Then back int he truck for the drive home... my hair blowing in the wind :)

It was a wonderful day with the except I didn't feel like going to work out and my bf got mad at me... but oh well. He'll get over it! :)

Aging gracefully for an old lady!

Blacky went on a vet visit today! She normally cries and whimpers but she didn't at all this time!! She even got two shots! She was such a trooper and the vet said she was "aging gracefully for an old lady". It was very said though, one lady came in with her 12 yr old cat and came out of the office crying because they had to put it down. I was teary-eyed! That's always so sad to lose a pet. Emergency Vet on animal planet makes me cry like that too. They show so many heart wrenching stories. I dread the day that I will find my dog not moving and lifeless. It'll be a very very sad day. BUT she is only 14 and dogs can live up to about 20 yrs or longer so I'm not worrying! She's very healthy and in great condition!

My Wal-mart interview is tomorrow! I thought I'd be nervous but I'm not really at all! I get to dress up in my pageant suit! yay!

Who's worried about Sharks when you got one of those in the water?!? Hehe, even in old age Blacky loves a good swim. She would have made a great gundog. I went on one side of the river and Johnny went on the other side with Blacky and she swam all the way across the river to me! awwwww. That's my baby! (14 yr old baby that is...)

This morning I got a call from Wal-mart for a job interview! YAY! I go in on Tues for the interview, wish me luck!

I have to go work out today (ugh). It's excrutiating but will supposedly give me muscle and make me toned and get rid of fat.

I've decided. My year off from school is going to be a total over-haul for me. I made the bold decision to come to Pennsylvania. Now I'm working on my self image(thank you Voice for the Actor class and Wendy!) I AM NOT a cute lil innocent girl anymore! I AM NOT the princess(all the time :P ) I am now going to be a buff successful hot talented confident business woman! yay for me!

So um... I'm not in Kansas anymore.. err um Indiana.
Looks like Pennsylvania will be where I'm to stay.

I'm taking a year off of school so I can "claim residency" and dont have to pay out of state fees. Also claim independence financially. Ya know... those people who get financial aid for college in Indiana are getting really gypped. PA has such good aid for school.

My sister got married... in a scary church. (is that an oxymoron?) So the term "The Grady Girls" has now been demoted to "The Grady Girl". Le Sigh.

I saw Wicked, in a matter of speaking. Illegally but hey.. I saw it. And its fab.. regardless the crappy bootleg. I can only imagine how good live stage is. It makes so much more sense.. but its alot different than the book. Read the book first, it's alot better. It still makes for a good show though.

I'm going to go see The Boy From Oz on Friday Aug 20th!! YES HUGH JACKMAN!!!

Last day of school!

I dunno if I am sad or if I'm happy that 1st summer session has ended. My classes were so much fun and we were those type of classes that apply to everyday life that feel really useful.

Today started out as a good day but when I made a visit to the finacial aid office it suddenly flipped around. I went there today because my classes were always 9 to 4:05 or sometimes 4:30 or 5:00. And the financial aid office is only open from 10-4. It's like HELLO!? They need to not be so lazy and extend their hours... cus they arent the only people who work ya know? SO I get there and the lady is like SO rude and was saying you should've come way before this blah blah theres no way you can get this processed in time blah blah. So I said... Well you guys are only open 10 till 4 and my classes are longer than that... So why am I being punished for fullfulling my academic engagements? So she handed me a form and said OK. Get this back to me ASAP!!! grr. (she didn't really growl, but her eyes growled... if you know what I mean. It was one of THOSE looks.) SO I went and filled it out and brought it back. She asked me more questions and I was like... I have some bad situations regarding my parents and taxes so I wasnt able to apply for that other stuff that most people get. Then I got upset with the hassel and shed a few tears... and she had like this transformation! I mean like she totally smiled and said she'd take care of it... she comes back out HUGS me and says "all fixed, check back with me next week hun." ......WTF WAS THAT?

To make matters worse... I went to the bus stop to catch the bus home. I'm standing there patiently still a little upset and bewildered at the incident and I see the bus coming. A sigh of relief comes over me and I was like FINALLY I get to go home and relax! and the bus ...................keeps driving past me. I felt like I melted into the ground right then and there. So I waited another 15 mins for the next bus, all of this crap going through my mind. It comes and I go home. What a day.

I say that now but watch... after 2 weeks I'll be sitting on the couch watching Rescue 911 or a bad J.Lo movie -because nothing else is on- and complaining that there is nothing to do. Ah summer. Dear Peeps... and Peepettes,
All is going well! Summer classes are insane... but I'll live and it'll pay off. Learning some great new things about my voice in Voice for the Actor class! Very interesting! Muncie is pretty dead in the summer... I will be dogsitting for kip who has the two most precious dogs, Belle and Arrow. I love them! OH! And my mice Nika and Ciel had babies five days ago. There's 7 of them. All of them look like they will be black but one. If you want a mouse, contact me cause they DO need nice homes!!
